Trust & Verification Center
What verification means here
Full transparency about our identity verification process, what data we collect, and — critically — what we never see or store.
What we verify
Identity, confirmed by a third party
We verify that the person behind a profile is a real adult. We do not verify that their bio is accurate, that they will respond to introductions, or that any other claim is true. The Verified badge means one thing: identity was confirmed through an independent process we did not conduct ourselves.
Data storage
Three fields. No documents.
What we store
Verification status
One of: unverified, pending, verified, expired, revoked.
Verification date
The timestamp when verification was approved. Null if not yet verified.
Opaque session reference
An ID from Veriff that contains no identity data — it is a pointer to the external verification event only.

The process
Four steps, end to end
You visit the verification page
On the SneekyLinq side, we record the timestamp you viewed this page — nothing else.
You are redirected to Veriff
Veriff is an independent identity verification platform. You complete the entire process on their system. SneekyLinq is not involved during this step.
Veriff sends us a decision
Veriff calls our secure webhook with a result code: approved, declined, or expired. We receive no documents or personal data in this call.
We store three fields
Verification status, the decision timestamp, and Veriff's opaque session ID. The event is logged to our audit trail.
FAQ
Common questions
Verification deters bad actors, supports the safety of everyone on the platform, and — critically — is what makes the Verified badge credible. Without independent verification, the badge means nothing.
No. Veriff only knows that a verification session was initiated. They receive no information about your SneekyLinq profile, your display name, or what you do on the platform.
You can apply to SneekyLinq without being verified. Unverified profiles are still listed — they simply don't carry the Verified badge. You may retry verification at any time.
Deactivating your account removes your public profile. We retain verification status in our compliance audit log per our data retention policy. We cannot delete data from Veriff's system — that is governed by Veriff's own privacy policy.
Verifications are currently valid indefinitely. We may introduce periodic re-verification in the future with advance notice to providers.
In one specific way, yes: platforms that run in-house checks receive and must store your document image. SneekyLinq never receives your document. Only Veriff does, and their handling is governed by SOC 2 certified security practices.
It is a UUID assigned by Veriff to your verification session. It contains no personal information — it is useful only for cross-referencing a dispute with Veriff's records.
Your verification badge (Verified / Unverified) is visible on your public profile. The verification date and session reference are visible to you in account settings and to SneekyLinq administrators.
